Alliance raid fix?

Yes it's trivially easy, but no, people will not game the system except for a small handful. All of these revenge fantasies about leveling alts are just empty threats and blowing out steam. The reality is that most people are not willing to complete a series of easy repetitive tasks for delayed gratification. The fact that all fc cottages have not been bought by individuals wanting their 4 personal submarines that would print free gil until servers shut down is proof of that. Similarly people are not going to level a whole new alt jus to shave off 15 minutes in their alliance roulette. It's faster and easier to not do the roulette at all, or to take a penalty if it's not CT. There are already people saying they'll just stop queuing.

Doesn't really matter how minor the amount is, people determined enough will always find a way to gamble the system. Either way, it's a novel idea that me & about 5 ish of my friends who own secondary accounts could easily execute if we so chose.
My point was more that your whole quoting that one passage of the ToS will basically amount to nothing when effectively no one is going to bother to report the people intentionally afking (or doing it well enough to blend in) or those who choose to leave repeatedly when they get something not braindead. I've had a friend who auto-leaves every Dun Scaith, Lighthouse, Orbonne & not copied factory NIER raid, along with bailing every EX instance in mentor roulette for over two years now and has never once gotten any sort of GM encounter.

It's just what the meta for cheesers will be going forward - simply take the 30min penalty because there's effectively no actual threat/danger of reprisal and go do something else and fish for CT since the roulette is still insanely biased towards it that you'll be statistically likely to get it over anything else anyway.

The amount is the entire point and it did matter to the devs too, which is why it was changed. No one cares about (hypothetically) you and your 5 friends doing it for a month until everyone gets bored. But now it's inconvenient enough that it's not thousands of people doing it for years. Success!

The passage I quoted was about disconnecting or going afk repeatedly. Leaving has always been allowed. People could have - and should have - done that instead of taking their gear off and manipulating the queue.

So we agree. The meta won't be alts, it will be random queuing + taking the penalty or not queuing at all.

Out of 5 characters I have that have completed the 6.0 MSQ, they've never unlocked those other Alliance raids.

I didn't quite comprehend the severity of not playing the game at all was with the simps until now. This frankly explains a lot. The simps literally would do the MSQ 5 times and not touch alliance raids at all.

You will think that until you get stuck with someone of my skill level & time out of a roulette because of unending fails.

Quite honestly, if they're going to place a 'skill minimum' on playing every aspect of the game, they're going to cut into their player base. If they only want 'the BESTESTEST' skilled players, then the leveling component of the game should have that degree of skill requirement built in. It currently does not (obviously, since even I have made it to current level max).

We get plenty of skill ranges in raids, not to mention new players who have no idea what's going on. It's not a problem.

You won't get better at the higher level raids if you avoid them and don't get any practice. And those who cheese the roulette system are also preventing other players from getting more practice as well.

Also, you're only one person out of 24. Ineptitude or no, you're not going to cause the raid to fail or endlessly wipe.

Yea, I honestly don't understand how people worry so much about alliance raids. Unless you are deliberately going out of your way, alliance raids are the easiest to just keep your head down and be lost in the crowd, if you are worried that your skill level isn't comparable to others. If someone has anxiety about alliance raids, I would have though dungeons would be so much worse? There's no room to hide, when there's only 4 people. Unless it's just the number of people present?

Sounds like now cheesers can just alt f4 after first boss so they can't get kicked due to loot roll, Then come back after like 10 minutes in non ct raid and collect their tomestone.

I'm actually surprised people are so afraid of Nier/Ivalice raids when I see wipes to WoD and LotA constantly. I'm pretty sure 90% of the toxicity I've ever seen in this game was from people being salty af in WoD or LotA haha The player base's true anger will always show the moment someone steps off their platform too early so one alliance can't hit their add.

I can't remember the last wipe I saw in Nier/Ivalice because I always queue as RDM so I can pretty easily cover for anyone's mistakes. Need 6 rezzes on Ultima in Orbonne because most of my alliance just died to the mechanics vomit in the phase transition? I got you.
