I think that’s a guarantee if it’s 2 dps. Guess I’ll start leveling my warrior or white mage to L100 in DT
Somehow SGE is more newbie friendly than WHM and has even less optimisation than WHM, it’s an absolute wonder they managed to limbo under a bar that’s 6 meters under the ground at this point
Seems pretty normal to me.
It takes a lot of work to make new classes, you know. Design, balance, animations.. you name it.
Besides, there always will be (and should be) more DPS classes to tanks and healers, as it is in many MMOs - usually in the range of a 3:1 to 5:1 balance. The majority of players play DPS and will usually have many more classes to choose from and more frequent newer classes. Having a new tank or healer every expansion would mess up that dichotomy. A new tank or healer every other expansion or so is just fine.
Which is irrelevant to those with concerns about healer design. It's not the healer queue times that are a problem.

Remember when literally this expansion they copied a class 1 to 1 for a new class and tried to sell it to us as something totally different
14 job designer must be a sweet gig, just invent a 1 2 3, boring resource accumulation and a APM heavy burst window, hell if it’s a healer just shamelessly copy another existing healer, heaven knows they are already all the same anyway
Stormbloods issues was massive ddos attacks during the first couple weeks of stormbloods release because story instances even had issues. People didn't realize it was because of ddos and not because of having 2 dps jobs.
Rauhban savage was a totally different issue than the horrible queues of 4.0 and 5.0 for DPS because nobody wanted to play the support roles
DDOS attacks were affecting all instanced content with queing into dungeons and story related things since it was connected to the same instance servers. But if they made tanks and healers interesting to play i think more people would be willing to play them but those roles tend to not be popular in most mmo's.
As a healer in pretty much every major MMO, and plenty of smaller ones, over the last 20-30 years;As a healer in pretty much every major MMO, and plenty of smaller ones, over the last 20-30 years;
I'd never touch a Sage. That gameplay does not appeal to me at all. Tried it. Was awful.
You're right. I don't think it was meant to appeal to healers, which I guess was the intention. You don't want to attract the current healers to a healing class, you want to attract the braindead DPS.
You're wrong. I think it was precisely meant to appeal to FFXIV healers and modern healers, which I guess was the intention. You want to attract the current healers to a such a class, since healers have always been green dps in this game.
^what is attractive about playing a 4th version of watered down 4.0 WHM
I already have 3 other options for that playstyle
