    The Path Between 6.5, and Dawntrail is LONG. How will the devs pad out the wait time?

    I can see the content drought making fans very unhappy with the wait, so how will they pad it out between?

    Will the prelude to the expansion be divided in two parts again to keep us on your toes between now and the next expansion?

    Will they develop side content I.e. Mail Moogle Quests, Island Sanctuary.

    Will they add new events to pad us out. Perhaps more than just the Fall Guys Crossover? Maybe the hinted FFXVI event?

    I really hope they have content to keep us waiting, because the wait might be a tad too long. People will be very restless. I certainly hope the new servers can handle the sudden surge of players with Dawntrail this time. After a long wait, and with the new Xbox platform, it might be a bit insane.

    I'll probably play dragon's dogma 2, but I'll be active in XIV. They shouldn't have to water the game down

    Housing is one of the few features of the game that is updated consistently with new features/furniture and on many servers it's practically impossible to get another if you lose it, particularly anything larger than a small house.

    We had this wait for Endwalker. They just padded it out by splitting up the .5 patch (as usual), then a sequence of seasonal events (so if you want to see the FF15 crossover return, watch out in 2024), the mog tome event, obviously the Fall Guys crossover. Maybe we will get region travel and if we do, it will at least be amusing to invade other regions for the first few days. All of this is mixed in with Fanfest streams, trailers, interviews and the media tour, which is out-of-game content but still something to occupy yourself with.
