Right afterward the trailer cuts to another scene. I expect this will be expanded in later cuts of the trailers at other fanfests (in the same vein as SHB's Thancred saying a line, becoming 'says the line, then fights the sin eater lion thing), and something that could be the thing that surprised Y (she is very deep in her research evidently), AND be at a lower height than eye level, would be a certain Lalafell turning up as a new job? Food for thought

My only disappointment honestly is the absence of them announcing female Hrothgar. I'm still very excited though.

They're probably saving that for other Fan Fests. IIRC we didn't find out about Viera until the longer trailer.

I suspect the female voice in the trailer is the Hrothgar.

She can see through aether signatures of objects and people. I figure it would be something like a heat signature vision or something like that. Must be a pain to dress up.

I'd like to bet it's because how similar the structure is to what she had seen from around the pyramids of Ux'ner in Rak'tika.

You know, I agree... If it's the same team over and over, they could at least get one outfit update per expansion if they happen to be major characters.

Would make them more unique as not just using a job's AF set - I really think of Alisaie, G'raha and Y'shtola as stand-outs - but also it would potentially have those as more mogstation material as soon as the character is past the outfit.

Trying not to be disappointed yet, we still have 2 more fan fests coming. With that said, the announcement of having 2 dye slots has me excited for glam, but also disappointed at the same time that we still have no announcement of a glamour log. They need to face it, the glamour dresser system is unsustainable as the game continues and more and more skins are added to the game.

Note: the purpose of the Scions was to deal with Primals and ultimately the Ascian threat. As that no longer is a thing (allegedly), the Scions have indeed disbanded.


This does not mean we are no longer adventure/travel companions and/or friends. If I’m going to lands unknown to deal with large scale political intrigue, you’d be damn sure I’m bringing the most trusted friends/scholars/spies/brute muscle that I have.

That said, I do hope this expansion leads to a bit of fracturing, where certain ideals between members are just not compatible. At the end I’m sure we will all be friends again, but I wouldn’t mind seeing some retire entirely..or become significantly more in the background a la Matoya.
