Well im sure they will make it possible sooner or later,
i bet they have alot of things that needs priority at the moment.

I myself, want to see name change & server selection by the time beta goes live.

Just adding option to change looks / race with no option
to to select world or new name would be Uncool.
Im hoping for the best thou.

If we're able to change our names, I hope folks who got the Collector's Edition will be able to reapply for the right of passage certificate that came with it, it'd be a shame if I decided to change my name and all of a sudden the certificate hanging on my wall became invalid with no way to get a new one to reflect the name change.

*cracks knuckles* alright time for me to get involved. Rina you're logic or lack of there of was quite astounding... to the point of where I stopped reading it and skimmed over it all. Sorry just my personal opinion on it. If a person wants to change their name especially if they're going from male to female or whatever. Let them especially if they are able to implement it into the game for that one time only. I myself... I can't see myself changing my name from Rannie... I've been known online as Rannie for 14 years. I play as Rannie in games if I'm a male or female character it doesn't matter to me. (Unless I hide who I am or for some odd reason it's been taken which always surprises me). Hell, in FFXI I was Rannie on Alexander for a short while before I moved to the bismark server as Rannie still. Anyway, if they can do it then as Jean Luc Picard says.... Make it so!

Right now we're going with two names Given and Surname I don't see them changing that unless they allow spaces in the first name or last name portion or if they allow us a nickname but I get the feeling that it won't happen.
