    Concerns about companions.

    Generally in any game, your companion AI always act pretty dumb.
    I'm wondering if companions will be able intelligent enough to avoid special boss attacks instead of just standing there and not moving to avoid boss attacks.
    And will they be able to cope with enmity? Will I have to worry about my Chocobo taking hate turning around Chimera and making all the melee DD eat an AoE in the face? (This is simply an example, please no "lol lern 2 tankz sturpid".)
    I'm also wondering how linking will work with them. Will mobs see them? Let's say I'm trying to sneak around something and my Chocobo's AI path sets it in front of a level 89 Wild Hog and it links 2 other mobs that come and kill me and anyone I may be with. And if they do attract mobs, will they run when I am walking to avoid attracting the attention of sound aggro mobs? This would be quite frustrating. Also, will they only attack mobs I am engaged with or will they attack the mob I am currently attacking if they only target engaged enemies?

    Any information as to how companions will work would be very appreciated and if one of the Reps would be so kind as to ask the Dev team these questions, it would make me a very happy kitty.

    On a side note, you guys do a wonderful job as Reps for us on this forum. I really appreciate the work you guys do! (even if I don't get a reply from one of you on this.)

    Im interested on this too, i know , i know this a morpg you suposed to play with other gamers insteadf foicus on a npc companion, but hell npc companionss is something im very interested onn too.

    I've said it before, so i'll back you here
    + i'd love to see your path companion make a come back as a playable character more akin to normal FF games.
    (obviously more for solo/quest stuff then End Game)

    Pretty sure devs have mentioned that Chocobo AI will be handled by a Gambit-type system. No idea on the main story npcs.
