I wouldn't pin it on the Xbox launch, honestly. More likely the graphical updates more than anything based on how thinly they're spreading that update.

Depends when 6.5/6.55 release like if 6.55 is late jan or even feb it wont be as long but if its sooner then yeah its going to be a pretty big gap but we don't know everything coming in 6.5 yet but expect the norm I guess. Good think I have blue protocol, 7 remake part 2 and yakuza likely to contend with that time and my 3 weeks away on hols to the US. I am going to be fiiiiiine...i hope.

Graphical updates, man. It's only going to get worse.

I assume the long wait is cause they just don't wanna do another Autumn/Winter release. This I assume was just a necessary step to get back on track for Summer releases with 8.0 actually being on track again for two years after. But god yeah, that gap between September and at EARLIEST June is, damn.

Someone already claiming the 6.55 patch as a real patch. It is just the stuff they should have released with the 6.5 patch anyways. I also don't see 6.5 launching till december. Makes more sense we are in a down cycle and you would want a holiday bump.



June is also worst case release date. In 18 months we will have had three patches. My math says that is 6 months. And if they use the backend of summer could even be longer.
