Two Problems: Crashing without error message and controller issues

Since the 6.4 update, FFXIV has gone back to the terrible stuttering when playing with an Xbox controller on Windows. Randomly the character will stop moving or move to walk mode for a couple steps. This will happen with no error message or cause and happens several times a minute. Switching to keyboard and mouse is not an option nor is it a solution. This was a horrendous issue but the 6.3 patch fixed it and I was able to play with my character moving as desired, but the 6.4 patch broke controller with Windows again. Now every couple of seconds, my character will start to stutter step, stop moving, or walk for a couple of steps.

Steps Taken regarding Controller:

• Unplug and replug controller

• Replace controller entirely with new model

• Try off-brand controller to see if it was the Xbox brand causing the issue

• Update drivers

• Disable Xvdd scsi miniport in Device Manager

• Disable Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator

• Uninstall controller via Device Manager and reinstall

This problem, according to reading I have done while searching for an answer to this problem, has been happening for years with the Windows version of FFXIV. How do I fix this, or barring any fix actually happening, bring attention to this so it can actually finally get fixed? This makes precise, high-end content unplayable as you cannot control where your character moves with 100% reliability.

We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with controller lag with the game. Please reply back with the following information so we may further troubleshoot the issue:

Platform (Steam/Mac/Windows):

Wired or wireless connectivity for controllers:
Connected devices to the computer when using the controller:

Are you using a bluetooth dongle via USB 2.0 or 3.0 or on built into the motherboard with a bluetooth card?
Are you using multiple controllers when doing this?
Do you have any other games or layouts running when playing the game such as Steam, Discord, etc?
Does your connection dip or is the lag related to the connection to the server/internet rather than actual input lag?
