I really REALLY hope this presents actual choice in the MSQ. Like a Path A or a Path B. Gives more incentive to redo the MSQ just to see what the other path is.
Hopefully also leads into a different side of the MSQ and ending all throughout the expansion, but I recognize that's close to impossible for FF14.

Looks like they're hinting at another melee dps since WoL is using a shortsword, considering the WoL's clothing under his cloak, maybe Corsair? Sky Pirate? Probably to share Scouting gear.
