That’s how the game and rng works. Drop rates are normal if you looks at drop rates from some other dungeons/maps (like the mini troll which cannot even be bought). That what gils are for. It’s not even real money. Like I said trade gear and exchange the proceeds for the minions. You are not making any sense. There’s different ways to get the minions, be pro active.


Also variant dungeons are easily soloable on all jobs (I soloed my clear of the 12 paths and used a different jobs for each one). So the dead argument doesn’t work.

Nobody was talking that it's not soloable. I'm soloing all my runs anyway. Maybe Square should be the ones pro-active and not make drop rates garbage so I can spend my gil on stuff that's actually a pain to get like mounts from HoH or PotD etc and not just mindless 20 minute grind in perpetuity because they decided to make drop rates stupid low.
