Please SE, disappear RMT spammers when we report them/

WoW does it. When you report one, it disappears completely from chat for the remainder of your login session. This encourages players to report them. As-is, you report one, and their spam keeps appearing, so why bother?
(I just switch chat to battle mode after reporting the first one so I can't see them any more.)

That's not very bot friendly. The bot overlords will lower your social credit.

I wonder how many times I have to see this thread? What does it take for people to understand RMT = money. SE can ban these people ALL DAY LONG. They will make new accounts. It will NEVER end. The only way this stops is if the community stops buying gil. People always flock to the path of least resistance so that will never happen.

when you say disappear, do you mean like... the character visually disappears ? or just the chat itself? because if you mean just the chat itself, just right click the name in the chat > blacklist, and you wont have to see the spam.

Unfortunately, there's a fairly small maximum capacity for the blacklist; I think it's around 200 people? So for me it's not worth putting an account that will only exist for less than a day on there; that space is reserved for players who I might actually run into again.

WoW made it a one step process instead of a 2. Submitting the report would also add the character to a temporary blacklist (so the bots weren't taking up space on a player's regular blacklist).

Just the bot's chat messages, All present and future ones. Blacklist doesn't remove the ones already cluttering your chat window, and doing this would eventually fill your blacklist, since there are multiple new bots every day.

One issue with this in WoW is when you switch classes by logging off one character, and logging in on another, all the temporary report blocks get cleared and you start seeing them again. (I've reported as many as 30 of them in one run.) At least here, you don't log off to change jobs, so the blocks should last much longer.

This isn't true if your blacklist is full.
