I’ve come to realise that materia needs help

Ok so I actually have a Character on Bismarck and the 2 issues I ran into as me being Stateside is:

1. I never know when to queue. Like at one point I logged into the World at 4am to try and do some content and waited an hour with still no queue pop, so I tried all times of day and nothing. I cannot take advantage of that buff if noone is there to play.
2. We are out on an Island. Where can we DC travel from? If it's region locked, then we can't get into anyone to come over to do the content. So currently my alt sits on Bismarck not even logged in because I can't get into roulettes or content to do anything.

That really depends on what you are queuing for. 24-man raids are hard. Alliance roulette is meh. Most people that need coins have probably already farmed them. There will probably be a resurgence in Aglaia/Euphro, when the 3rd one drops. Unless it's mog farming, it will be hard to get a 24-man raid going. Maybe can get enough if unsync, depending on expansion.
Outside of that, if you need a specific dungeon/trial/8-man raid, don't queue directly. Just set up a PF. You will have more luck, especially if there is first time bonus advertised.

It would be nice if they just scaled Alliance raids from 8-24 players so they are actually doable on Materia with 8 people.
But overall content is just dead sadly, this is the end result of 'go play other games' that Yoshi Senpai keeps pushing as an excuse to not making engaging content. People went and played other games, the ones left behind now have to suffer through another 4-8 months of dead content before the next expansion drops and player levels spike for a few months and make the game playable again.

It would be nice if they just scaled Alliance raids from 8-24 players so they are actually doable on Materia with 8 people.

I certainly wouldn't argue with that. We see that kind of variability in the Variant dungeons, depending on how many are doing it. It would be cool, if they added that to any content tbh. Only 5 people available for Wreath of Snakes? No worries, you can still sync it. How that works for some, where you need that LB3. Maybe just make it available to use, regardless...

I think it really depends on what you want to do. I can't argue it feels dead. Something like 80-odd members in the fc haven't logged, in the past 3 months. Longer, for a lot of them. But yea, its a shame. The DC 100% feels underpopulated. I've created an alt on NA. You definitely feel the difference. I just don't want to move yet and I don't want to re-grind everything, to have a viable alt....

In saying that, BLU is popular. Have had no issues in PF and getting BLU trials and dungeons done, this past week. Have done all three Nier raids on BLU. DR with 5 people can get filled fairly quickly. Bozja (both zones) has days where it is popular. Same with Eureka. P9-12 seems to be able to fill, PF or DF, especially on weekly reset. Same with Expert and 90 roulette. But, that depends on the time at night. From 5pm NZT and gets better from 7pm (5pm, for Au, when they are finishing up work/school). It's different for me, versus anyone going through the story. I do feel for them.

Yeah sadly its the same with our FC, a year ago it had 80+ active members every single day. Now it's lucky to have 4.
People just have no reason to play, and its killing off what population we actually have.
