With respect, the way you're thinking it seems like it might be a factor in why this feels so negative to you. If you choose to do a roulette, you have the option of choosing between two rewards; there is no sacrifice there, as you are not losing something you had nor are owed. When you choose to eat stir-fry for lunch, you aren't sacrificing pizza.

And to be clear, I'm not saying this as a gotcha or a dunk, I'm saying it to point out that your framing of the situation is a bit skewed, with the hopes that if you recalibrate your framing that you'll have a more grounded and positive experience.

I'll also add that if you want to do a dungeon to earn EXP, you can just queue up for the highest level dungeon your job has access to; in most cases that will give just as much EXP as the Leveling Roulette would have. So feel free to get your Causality from Leveling Roulette. Or don't, because there's dozens of other ways to get Causality, too.
