    Leveling Roulette used for actual leveling

    As a player who frequently puts things off, I wish that there existed a roulette that was strictly for experience and was not used for tomestone grinds.

    I'm currently trying to level some alt jobs and I hate that I have to choose whether to get a bonus on experience or sacrifice 100 Causality for my relic. They could just have separate roulettes for each, or drop one and disperse the tomestone differential throughout the other ones.

    Edit: So I've seen a few people mention that running Aetherfont will help negate any loss in tomes by not utilizing a roulette. That's solid advice that I hadn't considered.

    It’s just so that people with all combat jobs maxed might be incentivized to populated leveling dungeons as well

    That being said I rarely even need to use other roulettes besides expert to get the tomes I need anyway, going all the way down to leveling is start to scratch the bottom of the barrel for tomes.

    Just choose what matters more to you right now.
    Then get the other an alternative way (tomestones, or experience).
    You can get tomestones from almost everything so... I wouldn't worry about the tomestones.

    With respect, the way you're thinking it seems like it might be a factor in why this feels so negative to you. If you choose to do a roulette, you have the option of choosing between two rewards; there is no sacrifice there, as you are not losing something you had nor are owed. When you choose to eat stir-fry for lunch, you aren't sacrificing pizza.

    And to be clear, I'm not saying this as a gotcha or a dunk, I'm saying it to point out that your framing of the situation is a bit skewed, with the hopes that if you recalibrate your framing that you'll have a more grounded and positive experience.

    I'll also add that if you want to do a dungeon to earn EXP, you can just queue up for the highest level dungeon your job has access to; in most cases that will give just as much EXP as the Leveling Roulette would have. So feel free to get your Causality from Leveling Roulette. Or don't, because there's dozens of other ways to get Causality, too.

    I swear these days 14 players just want to be given a level 90 character with a full set of relics just for logging in


    It’s a MMO, MMO’s are a grind, 14 is barely a grind as it is and now you don’t want to deal with one of the games oldest tradeoff’s, if you are desperate for both causality and experience run the roulettes on a levelling job then grind aetherfont for causality; or run the roulettes on a level 90 job then spam your highest available dungeon on your levelling job

    Come on there needs to be some reason to even bother logging in, they’ve already ruined the relic as it is

    You'll almost always get more exp repeatedly running latest level-appropriate 'levelling' dungeon you have available rather than any of roulettes, except maybe MSQ roulette, which gives absurd exp. Not as interesting, but saves both daily bonuses and time in the long run.

    A roulette that gives no tomestones wouldn't be a benefit, it would just have the opposite problem once you get to level cap. That's why the existing levelling roulette has alternate prizes once you no longer need the EXP.

    That's a giant leap in assumptions. I just wanted a single roulette that was purely for daily leveling, without sacrificing a single roulette for tomestones. Shift 100 tomestones among the rest of the roulettes, and that's one less than you have to grind each day.

    They give tomestones so the roulette stays populated for end game players with all jobs maxed
