How do you get from "turn based JRPG's" to "who has little faith in their future" of MMORPGs? There was a lot missing from that narrative.I don't personally buy into the idea that the MMO genre lacks in appeal to 'younger generations'. If anything, it's the lack of innovation that is to blame. Yoshi-P claimed the same thing about turn based JRPG's and yet they've been doing fairly well for themselves.
Putting someone in charge of FFXIV who actually has faith in the genre and a fresh perspective would do wonders for the game's livelihood. I can't think of many industries where someone in charge of them has little faith in their future would stick around.
