Thread: 18.5% drop in players in only 8 weeks

I just kind of raidlog right now and play other games. I'll keep subbing because of my house but i do feel less attached to the game this expansion overall compared to SHB/SB/HW.
I can't really tell if it's because there's no Boszja/Eureka and such, also most my fc left now which is just kind of sad.
I still like the game but i'm just not spending that much time playing it anymore outside reclears.

You need to be able to draw a positive gaining zigzag curve..... you get a boost + some more each expansion... then it goes down, but you will end with more people as before the expansion... then it boosts up again with the new expansion.

At that point will be complaining about the queus to login, there is no pleasing you but adding negative things to forum, the game and everything.

See the good things in the game, and the game features... even if you don't like them, add possible suggestions to the parts you don't like.

Critics only work, if you tell what is good, but then mentioning the few bad things and you got to be specific to everything.

TwitchTracker and any stream platform is a mean to analyze AUDIENCE (e.g: people that probably is not playing the game right now for multiple reasons).

We can say that is a indirect way to measure hype. Keep in mind that our community is weird and the same person may watch multiple streamers just to see reactions to a specific scene (me included).

MMO as a genre just doesn't appeal to younger generation anymore.

Mobile games are just a lot more profitable.

Many young people I met don't even have PC or console. They just play with their phones.

I don't personally buy into the idea that the MMO genre lacks in appeal to 'younger generations'. If anything, it's the lack of innovation that is to blame. Yoshi-P claimed the same thing about turn based JRPG's and yet they've been doing fairly well for themselves.

Putting someone in charge of FFXIV who actually has faith in the genre and a fresh perspective would do wonders for the game's livelihood. I can't think of many industries where someone in charge of them has little faith in their future would stick around.
