I can't see the comment that was defending price gouging as I have whoever made it blocked, but if people are actually defending price gouging, that's sad and it reflects pretty poorly upon the health of this community as a whole.

This is a problem in a lot of industries. There's too many people who just don't care and keep feeding into the problem. There's nothing people with standards can do until the apathetic start gaining a little self respect.

Also, cash shop revenue goes back into FFXIV. It's your subscription that's going to support FFXVII.

Sorry, but this is never the case. Cash shop revenues will be used to create more cash shop items.

To be clear I did not suggest that I think the issue raised in the OP shouldn't be discussed. Just that, in the case of the subject of this thread at least, the issue pops up so frequently that it'd make more sense for it just to be pinned.
