All of the highlighted problems don't occur on the JP servers. Therefore as far as the devs concerned it could not possibly be a problem because it doesn't exist and so they won't be doing anything about it. Quesync abuse, the proliferation of the dogshit DRK/DRG meta, and so on, is symptomatic of American exceptionalism which is why NA and to an extent EU have been destroyed. What would happen if you "invaded" JP and engaged in this behaviour on their servers? Well they'd just ban you and they still wouldn't do anything about it you stupid gaijin.

This simply isn't true. If you go on the JP PVP forums and search for 暗黒騎士 (DRK), or 竜騎士 (DRG) and use Google Translate, you'll find plenty of popular posts with the same feedback people give here on the English forums. All of the highlighted problems don't occur on the JP servers. The issue really just boils down to this game's dogwater netcode when it comes to pvp.
Salted Earth+Skyshatter or really just Salted Earth+AoE spam in general is a completely braindead tactic that could easily be countered by just guarding, the problem is that it takes 5 hours for Guard to activate so you simply die anyway and that is also what makes it so frustrating.
The tactic is dumb, it is easily countered, but the game itself won't let you.

for FL its same as it was for unrated pvp in wow not just the premade issues
but also too few real players want to win rest are there for the free exp
when your team score is low(not damage score) (and dont go to objectives where 1 player links in chat)
but for me the real question is why is there no roulette for Rival Wings(Hidden Gorge or whatever)?
i remember doing it alot for the tomes to buy the ixion mount on few characters for mendacity tomes
and being more fun than frontlines

You don't need voice comms to follow a marker and a countdown macro. Both are totally redundant if you're an experienced player.
I'd argue that voice only helps with actual green horns that need to be lead and babysitted at all times.
People that queue into those specific stompy DRK/DRG premades are not green horns. They don't need comms to work efficiently either.

Right, they don't need voice chat because they already know the game plan. They're queuing into matches knowing what job each is going to play, the combo they're going to abuse, and how it's going to be coordinated. They don't have to worry about ending up on a team that doesn't have others playing the necessary jobs, or if they do that those players are willing or capable of sufficiently coordinating those cheap combos. You don't need voice comms to follow a marker and a countdown macro. ... which all sounds a lot like a distinct advantage over solo queuing.
Agreed that with more experience, voice becomes less of a relative edge, but one doesn't need to speculate about its efficacy. There are YouTube videos that illustrate the devastation. Besides, isn't it self-evident that stopping to pop a macro into chat like "DRK LB ready" is far less efficient than voicing "LB in 3...2..." to three associates who are primed and ready? In other words, an experienced premade may not *need* voice (which illustrates why they're a problem!), but with it they are even more effective. You don't need voice comms to follow a marker and a countdown macro. I'd be curious to see such videos.
I still have yet to be on the receiving end of those infamous combos, even if I have seen some of them, and I'm starting to have the feeling that it's truly about a skill issue more than anything else. But I do get it, it's like if ranked CC mixed together top 100 players with casual first timers.
I cannot agree more, I think before 6.1 it was fine but since this new trash pvp skillset was implemented it should be solo queue.
