Unfortunately Healers won't be fixed until 7.0 at the very least. Also the 2 minute meta won't be fixed until then either as pretty much all of the Endwalker Content is made with the 2 minute buff window in mind.

I hate doomposting as much as the next guy but it is very hard to believe they'll suddenly u-turn on their design philosophy when they've been set on it for the past 4 years. I'll gladly eat my own words if I end up being wrong, but I doubt it.

I do agree they can be a bit more communicative. But job changes have always happened and we forget that there have been good job changes. Like I said Healers have been in a bad place for a long time but I'm sure that's because of FFXVI being developed by the same team that develops FFXIV. Its going to get better. We can continue to voice our opinions, I don't think its wrong to voice them. But I don't think saying that they aren't listening to us is going to make the game suddenly better, its just hurting ourselves and making us feel negative. Like I said a community post or something about them knowing that Healers are in a bad place could alleviate that. I know they are as much at fault for all our doomposting as we are, but we have to at least catch ourselves before we spiral and become overly toxic. We all love this game that's why we're here. That's why were making all of these posts.

The good changes EW have made when it comes to jobs pale in comparison to the awful that they honestly feel like flukes more than anything. I don't have any reason to trust the devs anymore with job design. They eradicate playstyles, they make decisions against the best interests of its players and alienate said players by removing more and more avenues of skill expression. I am grateful for the very few good changes they do, but for every 1 good decision they make, they'll do 3 horrible ones as well.

Sure, I mean despite all the bitching and moaning I do, here I am, coming back to post on the forums every week or so. I agree that complaining that we're just screaming into a void isn't productive, but it really does feel like that's the predicament we're in right now. It's up to SE to re-establish a connection otherwise the divide between the dev's and the players' interests will only grow further apart. Will they actually do that? I don't know, but something does need to happen.

They do listen. However the feedback they listen to is the small amount that is actually constructive/helpful. Unfortunately the noisy obnoxious minority that think they're the center of the universe make it difficult to find a majority of the feedback that would actually be useful to them. That same minority also results in them not wanting to post responses.

The constant thread gridlock with some variation of "SE/the game sucks and is the worst its ever been", all posted within a day of each other, definitely make *me* not want to really visit General Discussion, a lot of the time.

I've never received one either, though I did get one for the Nier series from Square Enix.

I think they should make an opt in survey on the official site or in-game asking people to leave feedback at least once per expansion. They can hire trusted third party sources to compile that feedback and identify common complaints, concerns and suggestions.

As it stands, they're only really getting feedback from people who are lucky enough to get an e-mail survey and from those who use social media. Yet a lot of players do not necessarily make use of Twitter or Reddit.

This idea has potential. I mean, an opt-in survey will get spammed to high heaven, too, and skew feedback impressions. But I suppose you could limit people to being able to fill out one survey per account every x amount of weeks, or something. And exclude free trials.

Or allow free trials, but make sure its noted that that's what they are to possibly weight the feedback accordingly. My thinking is to avoid people bad faith spamming the surveys like some do these forums. Like someone creating several free trials to complain about endgame content an actual free trial player wouldn't have access to, for example.

Ideally, you'd want to maintain a "one player, one survey" situation to keep the feedback reflecting reality.
