Also I'm not going to just assume there'll be multiple new jobs. This far in there might only be one.

But we also have no reason to believe there won't be multiple because there always has been, until they say otherwise like they did when reducing dungeon development.

I think their strategy for managing and balancing all of the different jobs is to make half of them identical but with different animations, so if they make a change to one they simply make it to the other as well.

Anyway, I'm hoping for 7.0 info, but I'm expecting 6.5 and the Rising to take up most of it. Maybe teasers for the next job, likely in the usual form of Yoshi wearing a shirt that hints at it. Oh, and probably some high-end merch that I'm too poor to care about.

considering AST and DRG are getting a complete rework, there's your other two jobs there. personally i think only one new job will be announced and it will share gear with NIN.

Why do you believe there will be only one new job? What is this based on when we have always had 2 in every expansion since Stormblood?

Because I think that instead of worrying about there being too many jobs, SE is actually making it so that half the jobs play the same as another job and share gear with eachother, keeping them easy to balance. New jobs are going to be clones of ones we already have, like Sage is a clone of Scholar and like Reaper is the preview of Dragoon's rework but pretty similar already.
