The Masked Carnivale is Some of the Worst Content in FFXIV

I really do not understand who thought that walling content behind an insanely overtuned set of fights was a good idea. I would really think that person should be fired.

Everything wrong with Masked Carnivale

Difficulty is set far too high without ability to adjust it.
A constant stream of OHKOs.
Very little time to react.
One mistake and you go back to start.
Mechanics that are ridiculously hard to read.
Drags on WAY TOO LONG.
NO CHECKPOINTS BETWEEN ACTS!!!

God I hate this content only PVP and Ultimates are worse content than this.

I would not be the least bit sad if it was erased from the game.

The new one is a lot straight more intuitive and most of the dodgeable aoes dont even one shot you. Some spells are just more or less required to be used like diamondback, exuviation, fish and loom so you gotta get those. I'm sorry to say this but this really is a skill issue.

I disagree. I love my "difficult" solo content. Masked Carnivale is the closest we can get to a solo extreme/savage and I wish they will release MANY MANY more - maybe for normal classes next.

MC left difficult behind and went straight for "Trying to bash through a steel wall with your head."

I haven't done the new one, but of the old ones only 2 of them were even remotely challenging, especially with the Stormblood abilities. Just got to keep doing it and it will become muscle memory like Extreme and Savage does.

If you struggle with them, you can look up the guides that are made.

It's some of the only solo content in the game that is the least bit challenging along with deep dungeons and bozja duels. Let us have it.

That would actually be really cool even with the far more restricted toolsets normal jobs have.

Never liked the masked carnivale stuff tbh, I think it's too hard and just annoying, lots of 1 shot mechanics

Only the irresponsible look to blame others instead of themselves. The content doesn't have to become worse to accommodate you. You need to get better to live up to the content.
