Oh my goodness, you people DO NOT TAKE THIS AWAY FROM ME.

I love actually being challenged and having to put some work into a job questline for once. This is the same exact feedback that'll encourage SE to axe the only lasting continued job storyline left in this game.

Quit crying, learn the fight and mechanics and then be rewarded with a finished storyline.

Go get some of the newer spells. Makes older fights way easier.

It kind of feels like this 'silliness' is because you can't get past a fight.

There's challenge and then there's MC which is nothing more than a conga line of OHKOs that make you start all over again because Yoshi P has no concept of what a check point is. >_<

Just take BLU as puzzle content. Isn't that what it is? Use it's silly tools, spells, to figure out puzzle.

I'm not the person you quoted but I can answer from my point of view. I'm older now... older than the typical gamer I'd imagine. My reaction speed, manual dexterity, and steadiness of my hands aren't what they were 30 years ago. I still haven't cleared all the stages of the carnival yet since my brain and hands have a hard time keeping up at times. Some of us older folk just aren't as quick as we were in our 20's & 30's. It happens to all of us eventually

Oh, to be clear, I'm fully aware of this! I'm middle-aged and have been increasingly affected by arthritis for a few years now. I was just wondering what the specific issues with the Carnival are. With the help of macros and customizing my UI and crosshotbars, I don't typically have problems that prevent me personally from overcoming the kinds of content I want to engage in. So I'm interested in learning what these obstacles are for two reasons: because my own experiences navigating ability issues might help work towards a solution, and regardless it helps me to better understand the challenges that people with differing ability face.

The MC fights are just puzzles, and not particularly hard ones. X happens, try again with Y spell to counter X. Repeat until you clear.

If you can't do that, you can either get good or quit.

The issue isn't getting good neither is it quitting. I always felt like the OP is stating that the MC should have never been tied in with the BLU Mage's storyline. MC is content & is the solo counterpart to the Blu Log which is content for Blu Mage parties. After 29 attempts & finally beat the level 25 act...DIRTY ROTTEN ?? which had to be done to progress through the story. All that did was made me frustrated & basically, stop MC.
MC & the Blu Log are good if you want achievements, rewards, allied seals, mounts, & glowy BLU weapons with higher stats but they should not be tied to the storyline.

Once again here posting as to why blue's story line is gated behind doing a boss in Carnival. All other classes and jobs do not have such silliness and considering it is a limited job as well why do that, all you do Square is upset people who just want to see the story and don't even get me started on the difficulty of some of the things in carnival for older and/or disabled people to get thru. Why not have an easy mode option to allow people who also pay subs to see a storyline that they pay for.

We don't have to dumb down games cause disabled people exist. And this comes from me, being a disabled person myself. I personally would love to have a Ultimate weapon, especially the new Omega ones. But i literally can't focus for that long without having physical problems. But you don't see me screaming for SE to include Ultimate weapons in the treasure trove or to make a easy mode for those fights. I am happy this kind of content exists for the players who enjoy it and i am happy to grind things and do stuff i know i am comfortable with.

If you have troubles with certain things, try harder or don't do it. Or play easier games that fit your profile more. It's nice when the devs keep other groups of people in mind but you can't expect them to dumb down the entire game which negates the challenge and reward system.

Also blue isn't like other jobs. That argument doesn't work.

Others have managed to clear MC no problem but all of a sudden we need to pay attention to the brain dead few who cry out for not being able to do it because they cant bum rush through it? Get out of here with that logic.

The only low rent here is OP's and your's posts about MC. This is exactly why the current state of the game is just so streamlined and braindead with content, because of people having this line of thinking about parts of the game.
