I just saw a thread of some months ago on the gearing system getting tons of traction and they did adjust that twice even throughout this expansions. So my hope is if there is enough people actually showing this is a big issue that they'll do something about it as well.
But if it's just only 5 people caring enough to highlight it I'm realistically not seeing this getting any priority.
If popular ffxiv streamers like Zepla and Mr.Happy have been trying to communicate this exact feedback on the terrible Criterion rewards and its falling on deaf ears then pretty much this is the state of the game.
