Log in, afk in front of the fc house and log out again

How many of you can relate to the title? Because that's what most of my time in this game is currently looking like. A new patch drops, so i get excited!... Only to fall back into the same old position right in front of the fc house 30 minutes later after i ran out of stuff to do til the next raid night. A cool shiny sword but nothing to use it on, that i bought with an already capped currency. (Not that it's worth using as the tome weapon is better anyways) And a new dungeon that i completed in 10 minutes. That's the patch.

This game is lacking in character progression and meaningful content besides savage and weekly tomes. There's just so little of substance to do on the side besides social interactions - which i don't think warrants a monthly subscription as i can do this for free on other platforms. I *want* to have stuff to dig my teeth into - a reason to log back in for inbetween raid nights. But there's just nothing to do. Frankly, i'm starting to consider going back to WoW..

How far does that train logic go?

Once you're done leveling everything, then what?
Once you're done with the main story, then what?
Once you're doing with the optional content, then what?

Then GO DO OTHER THINGS IN LIFE! THAT is the what.

This coming from someone who makes more posts in a week than I do in a YEAR, with so many alts Im surprised you even know who you are anymore.

Try out Lost Ark, it's pretty fun. Just make sure to quit once you've tried out a legion raid or two and hit a honing wall.

I spent the majority of yesterday after work farming for the items from the new Variant dungeon, still need to hop in to swipe a few more items. Today I'm going to work through BLU and collecting the new spells, and making a start on the brilliant tools after I clear up my inventory.

Across the next day after that I'll continue working on the brilliant tools, probably finishing them, and then work through the other relic weapons, probably through Palace of the Dead to begin with so I can finish getting the remaining Padjali weapons, before going back to hunt trains for the rest - I'd have liked a one-time only step which isn't just the completion of Hildibrand quests. I'll be running through the fishing log during this as well.

For me, that's worth the subscription cost, and doesn't have me AFK at my house or FC house within 30 minutes of the patch.

I'm glad that appeals to you, but none of that sounds remotely interesting to me. I have already collected the glams that i like and it was kind of boring to grind them anyways. I levelled a crafter and gatherer and i found neither particularly engaging.. At all.. And blue mage content is just stupid.

For the most part, many of the goals here were tertiary, since I enjoy achievement hunting, regardless of that medium - Whether it's in an MMO, or whether it's on PSN with trophies, or achievements on Xbox/Steam - Even with people who do this fairly casually, you'd be surprised what forms of monotony and tyranny people subject themselves to for that dopamine hit of seeing the achievement pop up on the screen. Like, I'm farming all of the relics just for this purpose, since my primary weapon glamour is Padjali, and will be Kinna when I get around to that. I would say this enjoyment outweighs what I got when I decided to try raiding in Eden's Verse that one time.

Crafters and Gatherers are a shell of their former selves, I will say. In fact, one of the major selling points of this game to me, aside from hearing T13 music (by accidental misclick) those many, many years ago, the crafting system was also pretty high since it was one of the few that could boast of having a fairly substantive system behind.

I do have issues with BLU, and probably more so than most people, but I don't let that stop me in its entirety from having what fun I can with it.

At any rate, I don't entirely disagree, but people play this with different goals in mind, so some will get more out of this than others. I usually refrain, but there is a certain point where you do need to question whether the game has your interests in mind or not, and whether there is actually a trend to show whether it is or isn't, and whether or not it is rebounding.
