Another idiotic conga line of unfair OHKOs. No info on what to do against the summons and once again the slightest mistake sends you back to start.

The Masked Carnivale has been absolute trash since it was introduced. A massively overtuned brick wall that makes it agonizing to get your needed BLU spells. The reward is too low for something this stupidly difficult. I should be getting every single ultimate weapon when I clear this garbage.

Or the alternative reality might be that it's a skill issue and you have to learn to cope with the fact that challenging content is a matter of trial and error. After up to 120 spells at your disposal one should be reasonably expected to have more and more punishing challenges thrown at you.

"needed BLU spells." -> for what content exactly? Bluemage Raids for Morbol or the new savage ones?
Bluemage is a optional character for fully optional content, mostly endgame / speedrun / solo related - which mostly is a challenge in itself. Doing the carnival stages is fair, the fights are not that long and every time you fail you learn something new about the fight and improve, just as you finally did for stage 29. If that doesnt give any feel of accomplishment to you maybe you shoul'nt do this content because obviously its not fun for you to do so, but for the love of god let us have some challanges besides multiple person trials. Carnival is fun as is and everyone can beat it if you learn the patterns.

Kinda wish there were difficulty options like:

Easy Mode: Gives more time to react and think , less HP)
Normal Mode: Like it is now
Hard Mode: Less time to react + more abilties, dps check...idk make it harder somehow)

Challenging content is great, but not when it blocks off something as basic as job quest progression. IMO there should be separate story versions of 25/30/31/32 for the people who just want to do the quests and not bother with the challenge of the Carnivale.

I am NOT a good BLU player. Not at all. I played BLU back when it first came out, mostly out of curiosity. Didn't touch it until after 6.0 when I started hunting TT cards and some are locked behind BLU.

I hated it because it was different. I hated it because it was difficult (in comparison to most other content in this game). Then I realized that's what I had been seeking. In many ways, the various jobs that make up the 3 roles are all the same. Tanks are essentially the same with a glammed weapon. Healers are similar. DPS just have a gauge gimmick that is mostly what gives it flavor. But BLU, BLU is just a different beast entirely. You are forced to learn some of the job to become competent.

I eked through the required challenges and #32 just last night. I didn't clear it in blazing time either. Maybe 12 minutes? I don't recall. I died dozens of times. Maybe other BLU beat challenges blind the first time - and if they do, good on them.

If you want to clear the content, stick it out. Embrace how the job works. Recognize that the challenges are a dance (or an OHKO as you put it). Just like some other content in this game, taking a hit outside of auto-attacks means death. If anything BLU can be a LITTLE more forgiving than that. Some hits are KO. Some you might recover from, but the nature of BLU is a combination of a priority system coupled with spells that counteract what the target is doing. It isn't just "hit these buttons in this order and win."

Flying Sardine, Loom, Diamondback, Exuviation, and some sort of heal like White Wind or Pom Cure. All of that and some kind of attack, in this particular case Sonic Boom to help put out the fire quickly and Ram's Voice+Ultravibration for the slime, is pretty much all you need for anything in this. It's really not difficult at all.

If a spell can be interrupted, spit a Flying Sardine at them.
If you get some sort of dot on you, Exuviation will almost always be able to get rid of it.
If you're hit with some sort of undispellable Heavy, you stop what you're doing and look at where you need to Loom away to.
If there's literally no way to avoid an attack, Diamondback is almost certainly what's expected of you.
If your health is dipping, heal.

The only thing that annoys me that you need to do it to get the TT card. I would gladly ignore the masked carnivale, if it wasn't for TT cards. I hate the masked carnivale. It's so frustrating, especially the whole "let's do a 2 phase fight with the same boss, and make the first phase not so difficult but long, so everytime you die, you have to redo the whole 5 min first phase..."
