On the XIV 10th anniversary's contest page, they list a Hair Design contest but it's been listed only as "Coming Soon".
I'm just curious when is it going to open.
The NAs FanFest is in 10 days, so maybe they holding it for either the EU or JP fests?

They added 10 hairstyle I believe; Both winners, 7 of the runner ups, and 1 entry that didn't make it but was popular. （*´▽｀*）

Isn't that hairstyle you've mentioned that wasn't added actually the Both Ways hairstyle that you get from Zadnor? - It looks like it and given how hard the Eviさん hairstyle was butchered, I think it's possible

All of these hairstyles look like the trash short styles that the community has collectively been hating on for a while now. Looks like our woe was self-inflicted.

Granted, the dev team chose the 25 finalist for each gender that we then had to vote for via liking them on a thread posts.

I dunno. it seems to me like every single time we get new hair especially ones from that list the reception on social media and from people in game has been "ugh short again". Not saying I personally feel like this but it's something I've seen. So who exactly votes for these short hairstyles?

I don't know but hopefully the community should come up with something good because the hair styles they tend to add aren't really interesting.

It is a real shame that a lot of those hairs looked significantly better on paper than they did in-game. A few of them are really solid-looking in game though. Still praying we get more long hairs someday.
