Yo, criterion rewards is still garbage.

Criterion dungeon could be the solution for a lot of the issue we are suffering on this game. Like a midcore content and lack of alt gearing job as bullet proof for future ultimates. But noooo the devs have the short sight vision and do not want to listen to feedback how to improve this content to be permenant content. I'm seriously dissapointed by the devs. They could just slap tomes upgrade items with amount of special currency require with a weekly lockout and later on uncapped this currency(same time as savage). This content could be alive and good. Seriously, devs you guys put more effort on the damn diadem on HW than this content. I'm sad because this content felt like A Realm Reborn Raid (coil of bahamut) and I raid on this expansion with fond memories. Yet again the devs screw it up and made a content with barely with no purpose.

There is no possible way to defend the horrid incentive design of this piece of content in good faith. However, life finds a way, and we shall await and see.

They do need to think more long-term with the rewards, be it through the Potsherds or just pure low-chance random loot.

Would also be nice if they added gear to it. I don't see a reason why they couldn't attach gear to both the normal/savage versions. Literally, no reason whatsoever.

Even better they could have tied the relic into it, at the very least on a one-time stage.

It's nice content but boy is it lacking sustainable rewards. - Personally I loved running both Sil'Dihn and Rokkon, even after the 13th run I did of it, and frankly, I wouldn't even hesitate if it had more substantive and long-term sustainable rewards, e.g., gear.
