Since a lot of Voidsent have died on the Source are there a bunch of soul twins out there or did I misunderstand something that would prevent that?

Actually most of them haven't. For the most part voidsent that are on the Source are there by some form of contract, that means that when they 'die' on the Source they just go back to the Thirteenth. It's a vast minority of voidsent that are on the Source in their true physical form.
There's also no indication that 'soul twins' really... like, matter except in the cases of an actual Rejoining. They exist as a concept, but don't assume weird magic would happen if you put Rowena and Mowen in the same room.
Not until one or both of them died in exactly the right circumstances and ended up rejoining their partner, likely would take both entering the lofestream, which might be why the ascians deliberately kill a fuckton of people on the source when triggering a rejoining, so that folks meet their soul buddy and fuse in the lifestream.Actually most of them haven't. Remember, we got fused with our soul buddy on the transition to the first.
But the contracts that bring voidsent probably deliberately banish them because if you don't have a voidsent's name it's way harder to reliably summon them, so at the moment before death they are probabky contractually obligated to return to the 13th so the summoner can grab them again later.
I'm like 90% sure that's now how it works at all, actually. Because first of all, if the mass death was required for a Rejoining the Ascians wouldn't be calling the Seventh Calamity a Rejoining, they'd be calling it a failure. I don't think the Ascians 'deliberately killed a fuckton of people on the Source' in the Calamities so much as they just willingly caused cataclysms so large they had an inevitably huge bodycount, and then just... didn't bother to lessen said bodycount. So not 'deliberately killing' a lot of people so much as deliberately deciding not to bother saving them; on this scale, morally not much of a difference, but I think logistically it matters. (Granted, I also feel like worldwide floods are pretty hard to ensure large amounts of survivors in.)Not until one or both of them died in exactly the right circumstances and ended up rejoining their partner, likely would take both entering the lofestream, which might be why the ascians deliberately kill a fuckton of people on the source when triggering a rejoining, so that folks meet their soul buddy and fuse in the lifestream.

And... uhm, that's not what Ardbert's situation was. At all. I'll grant that we have very little in the way of scientific facts on what his situation was, but he verifiably didn't 'fuse with us' on the transition to the First. it took A WHILE, and only happened when he basically willed it to.
I mean he was riding around in our body like a possession with a hand on the wheel for basically the entire expansion until he fully fused with us so I think we're arguing on degree or semantics in this particular case but fair enough on the rest of your pointsAnd... uhm, that's not what Ardbert's situation was. Uhhh Ardbert wasnt "in" our body before merging with us on the first before the hades fight, remember he almost starts a rejoining with us after Malika's Well before pulling back with a cry of pain. Fake Hytholodaeus in the fake Amuaruot also sees his soul (not the full body apparition) walking NEXT To us instead of our soul being thicker. He wouldnt have been able to see the seperate soul next to us it he had been "riding in us" the whole time.

Additionally, at times he is clearly somewhere other than where we are. At one point he even says he's trying to give you privacy some of the time.
It may be that he's constantly drawn to us – the mechanism isn't really clear but at one point he talks about feeling like he's been reeled in – but he's definitely not rejoined with us yet. That specifically happens at the end.
