    The amount of times any random discussion just ends up with someone somehow defending pedophilia (or in other but similar cases: suddenly hijacking a thread to vehemently denounce LGBTQ and racial representation as being 'political', derailing threads by accusing the OP of being a troll, etc.) is just crazy.

    It is more so we should not treat a non crimal act as a crimal one. Instead should encourage and support them getting the help they need before it turns into a crimal act. Treating them poorly does not do much to encourage someone to get the help they need. Not sure why that is such a hot take.
