Thread: Krile in 7.0

So they said she's going to feature more prominently, does that imply she might get an Alphie/Alis/Urianger/Thancred Job change?

At first, I thought yes. I was thinking she'd be one of the new Jobs, probably a Caster...but then it got me thinking, Krile's always been a Healer, something that a point is even made of when talking about her and combat situations. And I can't imagine them adding a new Healer right after SGE and also with the AST rework "like a new Job" type thing possibly going on as well.

...so now I'm not so sure.

What do you guys think?

Will Krile be a new Job in 7.0? If so, wouldn't it be a bit odd for her to be something that ISN'T a Healer? And if so...wouldn't that imply she WON'T be a new Job?

...or maybe she'll finally find a WHM Job stone somewhere and stop being a CNJ?

She's barely had a chance to be a conjurer, so I don't think changing to a different healer would achieve much unless there's a new one to showcase.

Becoming a caster might fit with her wanting to be more useful in battle.

Its a massive reference to FF5's Krile and her outfit.

She'll more than likely get an new outfit that also has a cat ears hoodie attached.

She'll get hit with a particularly strong Mini curse early on when the Scions show up to investigate whatever the hook is, and spend the entire MSQ riding around in your pocket giving you advice.

I believe she will Job Change. She is the Only Scion now who hasn't had a Job Change (I guess unless you count Estinien. But I guess Ill say Archon)
And maybe she will be the Showcase for the New Job, like how Thancred was a Gunbreaker, alphinaud is a Sage, and alisaie was a Redmage.
And she seems like a Mage, so it would be a Magical DPS.

Main character Scion*

We have minor scions that we don't adventure with that still have the same jobs they've had since ARR. If you include Lyse, then she'd also be the exception so far too.

She didnt go through a Job Change tho, she was always a Monk....or Pugilist.
The idea is that the mentioned characters went through an Evolution, and showcased the New Jobs.
I think to a Degree Thancred also did Rouge / Ninja.

Thancred started as a gladiator wielding a dagger, because rogue/ninja didn't exist yet. Then when those were added, he picked up a second dagger. He kept up with that until Shadowbringers, where he became a gunbreaker, although he still uses some ninja tricks (bring him to Dohn Mheg and he'll use Shukuchi to skip the tightrope segment of the final boss.....which players can't do, but hey).
