Event Proposal - The Sun No Longer Shineth (Umbrella Hat Event)

Event Item - Umbrella Hats!!! Yup...perhaps each GC gets its' own hat just for silly fun.

One day it starts pouring and it continues to pour...the streets flood and the streams become rivers...well it is a very wet one indeed!!! In order to protect our precious heads each GC has introduced it's own Umbrella Hats to keep our heads dry.

This event ushers in the introduction of the Sahagin beast tribe and the Primal Leviathan into our midst. Leviathan appears when your party rides the ferry in stormy conditions...you create the stormy condition by adding storm salts(crafted) into a cauldron/urn(victory key item) given to you from beating the Sahagin boss from their stronghold.

With respect to the flooding, some areas are now so wet that the Sahagin have decided to build a stronghold. Cid informs you of their invasion and gives you an item to allow you to walk and breathe underwater(required item for access entry into the stronghold) A path of water blocks the entrance into the city...only that item allows you to breathe and pass through.

Well there's an idea for you Yoshida and team FFXIV.

Yes. A thousand times yes! That would be so fun. There would be sakura blossoms and traditional fans and screens and cute small things all over the place! Everyone who did the seasonal quest would get a few different colored kimonos (at least 1 black, 1 purple, and 1 red one) with traditional shoes and maybe a (seperate) facial accessory that would make their faces white and lips red (but no touching of the hair). To top it off their could be a little fan equip (about as useful as a starter weapon of course) that opens when in "active mode" and one per kimono color (to match the main color, i.e main color of kimono is black, comes with black fan).


Yes I got too into this little thought...you should have seen me when the Viera came up in a thread many months ago.
