Burmecians would still be a good playable race

I know people often quote the devs distain for adding new races, but I am still a believer in another small race.

Lalafells are cute, but they need friends. Something small but with a different flare. This is why I think Burmecians inspired by Freya from FFIX would be the best option.

Yes, like the Viera the feet might have to change to be more inline with Hrothgar, but they would be cuteeeeee as all hell.

This game desperately needs another small race to rival the lalafells, and give the game more choice. As a short person who plays this game, and who has never felt like the lalafell were anything like my identity, I would be overjoyed if such a thing existed. Short doesn't have to be memed, or "cute" to exist. We can also be rather serious, and have whimsical expressiveness that go along with taller folk. Id really like the game to reflect this, because I am sick of being the butt of jokes. Yes, lalafell anxiety, and mistreatment by the fans does make me feel as bad as lalafell players feel, because I have heard similar jokes all my life. The way lalafells are treated as a laughing stock is similar to how short people, and people with dwarfism (a disability I have) are often treated. I want something different, something to show that small people are serious, and shouldn't be infantilized.

Ivalice moogles are another great contender as well. They look silly like moogles do, but have expressions that read as more than cute. I wouldn't mind them, but I prefer Burmecians as a race.

But do you really want this whole uphill battle with whether we get both genders, what hairstyles they get, doubling the time to make gear compatible, and if they get hats or not, or if they get shoes or not?

Burmecians are a smidge taller than the human characters in FFIX. It would be awkward to make them smaller, let alone lalafell sized. Viera got ported into the game with the correct size.

Ivalician Moogles would be cool but I don't know how they'd be introduced to the game. If they ever were to add another race to the game I'd want a smaller one though.

You are right, but the point was they are not close to Lalafell. The moogles might be able to borrow from lalafell. Though I would love to see more races SE needs be willing to pay for the man hours since last two have taken their toll.

Im all for more Beastmen Options, or just more Non-Human/Humanoid Options.
Count me in on that concept alone!
