    How to solve System error message -2146697211

    Hi, I have recently met the System error message -2146697211. I was even playing the game in the afternoon, but in the evening this error message popped up.

    I literally tried everything I could search on Google including the following:
    - change Internet option setting
    - run as administrator
    - restart PC
    - uninstall and install the game again
    - delete my games folder FFXIV_BOOT doc

    This error message still pops up. The funny thing is my other laptop can log in normally without any problem.

    Is there anyone who know how to solve this issue?

    I'm in the same boat.
    Also used a VPN connection (with different countries) but same error message.
    The only thing I can think of is reinstalling Windows, but the thing is everything else works fine and I hate to loose all my settings etc.
    Plus I have no guarantee that it works after reinstalling.

    Are you using a VPN?
    Are you using a wired or wireless connection?
    What Platform are you using? (Steam/Windows/Mac/PS4 etc.)
    Does the issue occur with one character or multiple characters?
    At what point do you get disconnected?
    How often does the issue occur?

    Well I got it to work again perfectly with the XIVLauncher so I resubbed and can continue again.
    Still the same error message as Nikuoo with the normal launcher though.
