Why wasn't it Ivalice?

Well i think at least the Ul'dah regions had some kind of Ivalice feeling (oriental architecture, bazaars etc.).. although the concepts arts are much better than the graphics/feelings are ingame:



if the lightning could be some kind of that ingame:


with more little details (maybe with the new engine), better and more dynamic lightning. they could create more of that feeling.
