Its not, this is honestly the first time Ive ever heard about that and Ive been around my fair share of FFXIV community feedback outlets.

Ive had a small handful of Bots.....3 Dungeons I think lol.
The last one was in a SB Dungeon. Me and 2 people noticed the other DPS ignoring mechanics. And when we tried to help them and tell them what to do, they just blindly ran back in and did a typical 1-2-3 Combo, no buffs, no avoiding AOEs.
And they would return, not even wait for a rez, then run ALL THE WAY from the start, to the boss, and just run in again without waiting for us.

It was, bizarre and amusing.
After we realized it, we all bailed. Agreeing we wernt gonna give a bot a Clear.

You probably dont notice cause the content is so easy that 2 people can clear it by themselves.

I did a guildhest once with 3 other bots. They were all identical male lalafell with similar names. They crowded around me right at the start (I was the tank) and didn’t move unless I did, following the slightest movement exactly. I quit immediately, did not want to be a part of that LOL.

I also did a leveling roulette with some FC members where we filled on one spot and we were quite sure it was a bot. It was the level 41 dungeon iirc. Can’t really explain in detail as it was a while ago but we all felt something was off the way they just ran around erratically and ignored mechanics. It didn’t feel like a new player or someone not typing, it was odd.

I got into a World of Darkness run with an entire alliance of bots once. We ended up having to vote abandon because we couldn't clear the Atmos trash when the bot alliance didn't even know how to go to their platform.

It's definitely not a common occurrence, but the fact that it occurs at all bugs me regardless.
