Unknown (to me) good XP side quest chain at 85.

I stumbled across this in Radz-at-Han. It takes you back to Ishgard, and covers several levels (On 88 now) Each stage is worth about 500K XP. I've leveled 8 characters to 90 so far, and finally discovered this on my 9th.

Lots of cutscenes, fairly engaging story line. Nice break from daily roulettes and tribal quests.

Yup, those are the “role quests,” and you also get a sort of epilogue quest series if you do the unique questline for all of the combat roles (tank, healer, ranged, melee, caster). Definitely recommended for the lore!

You know that's the magical ranged DPS role quest for EW right?

If you do it you can dye the level 89 job gear(casters in this case). It actually feels a bit criminal to not do your role quests though even if it doesn't give anything important in EW.

The role quests aren't hidden. The MSQ walks you straight into the room where the different delegates are waiting and introduces you to them. The role quests then unlock on completion of that quest.

If a player doesn't realize the quests exist, it's because they weren't paying attention to the MSQ dialogue.

For those who like the look of the EW artifact gear, completing a role quest chain makes the artifact gear for that role dyeable.
