OP got lucky imo, some gaming forums will just delete your thread, and any consecutive threads on the subject, send you a warning, give you an infraction, or 24hr temp forum ban (with multiple offenses ofc). the only time you'd really get away with this is when there's a lack of moderation or care for the forums in general.
