No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is the words I typed. You can infer anything you want from those words, but that's not what I said.
I couldn't tell you one way or the other if it is or isn't. I don't play savage.
If you want to say they're lying, go ahead.

You said people need features that mods provide. What do they need? No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is the words I typed. You can infer anything you want from those words, but that's not what I said.

ah we found the person responsible for jp dc pfs excluding elemental dcOkay, I'm going to do my best to explain this as a stupid westerner who has delved a bit into Japanese culture.
Openly allowing mods is them admitting they left important features out of their game that people need. They will not do this because its losing face. They don't care if you use mods, they care if you make it publicly known that you use mods, because it makes them look like they failed at something.
WoW does it too. Just mention ragnaros realm to some mythic plus players.
Also Blizzard banwaved 10k rotation bot users the other day. It can be done, it requires manpower and selling upper management on diverting employees to non-content related duties, and that is hard.
clip of the news from reddit.
IMO if it were up to me FFXIV would be using a licensed copy of Riot's Vanguard anti-cheat. I pretend PvP doesn't exist in multiplayer games for a reason. Unfortunately we'd lose reshade (fancy gfx) and specialk (fixes borderless fullscreen and variable refresh rate) access if FFXIV gained an anti-cheat.

Why in the flying Fu...ry would SE use Riot's Vanguard. Thats a terrible idea. That thing hooks up to your PC on a kernel level, it literally requires a full reboot or it wont work (or if you want to start it again.)
Its a terrible anti-consumer practice, clunky and invasive. And it's somehow "justified" by the fact that Valorant is a highly competitive game and they host tournaments worth big cash on the official servers.
For Final Fantasy? Heck no.

And we'd gain absolutely nothing for it. pvp is already a joke in this game, long before you even think about loading into a match that has a cheater in it.WoW does it too. Just mention ragnaros realm to some mythic plus players.
