Fix the bot situation on Sagittarius

Is it normal to get a 30 people queue at 4 AM on Sagi, which is the smallest EU server right now along with Raiden, while overpopulated EU worlds are not getting any queues at all ?

Please fix the bots situation. Those flying lalas are not actual players, I promise you, you can ban them immediately you dont need to conduct a 6 months investigation.

I think you are being generous in thinking they do any kind of investigation.

they say that they RMT ban etc, but since the reported offenders never seem to go away, even with a preponderance of data collected and submitted to the tea club known as the STF, I honestly doubt they do... anything.

in game GM's do seem to do things, but they are not allowed to touch bots. if teh moderation on the forums is spotty and bad.. the "Special Tasj Force" who is responsible for going after the bots... is even worse if they do anything at all.

Oh I was just venting to be fair because I had to switch up between a few chars on sagi and I got hit with a queue over 10 up to 30 and it's 3:57 AM, so I just wanted to vent, I know that the "special task force" is literally non existent, and they dont ban anybody at all, be it for RMT or for botting, the only way for someone to get banned for RMT or botting in this game is if they start screaming it in shout in the middle of Limsa, and even then I doubt it would happen, it's honestly pretty pathetic

Still just got a 22 people queue at 4:10, must be real players right ? Every other world I've tried just now had 0 queue lol, it's actually so annoying, but yeah I think once you accept that there is 0 support in this game it's better, I dont even bother sending tickets for in game issues or even billing issues, they eventually fix themselves and I'll get an automatic response 1 week later and a ""real"" response a month later if not longer, absolutely ridiculous tbh lol,

They have absolutely given up on banning bots and it really shows, but to be more blunt, they gave up on giving this game any support at all, be it regarding in game issues or bots/RMT, however I wanted to vent so thank you for listening lol

This post is also good evidence of this game having 0 in game support, nada. That player never got suspended or banned, they still have that house up that way to this day as far as I am aware.

Black mage lala's just popping in and out of existence, teleporting under the aetheryte over and over and over again for hours on end.

It wouldnt be hard to just put kill barriers/ban barriers in place under all the major citys, the only 'fake bans' that would happen are people trying to OOB glitch, which is no real loss.

Pretty much everything you said, they just dont care, same in Limsa, they are right under the aetheryte, they also teleport to it and then poof into thin air, it's just so obvious it's comical

It's the same on EU even on bigger worlds, these people actually dont care at all they just tp all over the place with instant tp's because they know they wont get banned

SE takes action against bots but such action is meaningless. When you have laughably small team handling it, GMs who can't do Jack without express permission and the total lack of a anti-cheat system.

They do ban, takes like 2 years on average to ban a perma-24/7 RMT bot And if you do some "subterfuge" it can live for 5 or 6 years.

I've found that reports don't actually do anything, 99% of the bans are done by gil-tracing. Player reports can be thrown into the oblivion for all they care. They take 2 years to trace bots linked together and then manage to only ban half of them (not even sure how they even miss obviously linked chars) at the same time while 5 new networks already sprung up so have fun

At the very least, the situation is now apparent enough that pretty much no one except the most dimwitted asks for "evidence" that the bots exist or cite the weekly report when this sort of thread comes up.

But well, several forum regulars used to do that just one or two years ago. They now shut up on these matters because even they are too embarrassed to spout nonsense anymore.

But actually, maybe JJY will come in and spout his usual RMT apologist nonsense. So I await for that

Lmao no, it's simply that the STF is dealing with an extremely archaic system and probably aren't coding literally anything to get what they want. Imagine trying to find the word "hello" in a 700 page document and scrolling down page by page and reading through it to find those hellos instead of using Ctrl+F. That's like just a step down from what they do, but with log files and timestamps and shit. I'd imagine if they hired someone who knows regex and let him do some work with the STF their efficiency would unironically go up by 100 times.

There are server-sided detections though. Teleporting vast distances will get you disconnected, as is extreme speedhacking. But that seems to be about the most sophisticated detections they can do. Don't even talk about basic behavioral detection, much less using bayesian models or ML to catch these bots. They unironically don't know how to do it. People should be grateful that they gave up on trying because when they actually did put some effort their grand idea for behavioral detection is to simply ban everyone above X amount of gil. They are SERIOUSLY clueless.

It's pathetic really just like the rest of SE's infrastructure.
