Ummm. . A Realm Reborn Red exists.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
There's also the ale mug toast emote.
Not good enough. I need to be able to have my character drink 742 bottles of liquor and be drunk for 3 RL months like I did back in Ultima Online... >.>
I bought for my Lalafell alt because I love the Dwarves so much! xDThere's also the ale mug toast emote.
Second this; probably one of the most glaring issues with the game. Subjective issues with gameplay aside, there's people who simply aren't able to participate, even if they have the gil necessary to do so. It's like a lack of content that you hit even though it literally exists, and they have the ability to solve the problem. Even if you're willing to leave your datacenter to go to what people constantly claim as a dead one, they've locked a chunk of the wards so you cant buy them until those are inevitably unbearably full as well. They've just made the entire experience insufferable for no reason
In general though there's just a ton of obviously repurposed stuff to save money; in really obvious ways and it just leaves a horrible taste in your mouth when you see it. Like I've been told they make more money off of this game than any other project, and I have absolutely no trouble believing that because it's as clear as gravity literally just based off of visible things in-game.
Like the reason there isn't cross-class glam isn't any kind of actual engine limitation (because it isn't) but simply because if you give a lvl 80 maiming class access to lvl 60 fending gear a couple patches after, you've increased the pool of things the maiming class can wear rather than actually modeling something new for it. There's an analogy to be made here but I can't think of one that's down to earth so no one accuses me of comparing it to real world suffering. Same goes for dyeable stuff (with the exclusion of savage gear, where dying is actually an appropriate reward). And the fact that they've just given up on making headgear for Viera and Hrothgar. I don't even play one and I feel bad for them, man. Like how high could the budget be outside of operating costs if you barely makes 10 new actually uniquely modeled sets of gear every 3 years?
It's just a sad state for SE's most profitable game. I feel more negative about it than I feel positive and I only log in anymore because other people want me to.

yeah, i'll give him the wrap. but foist, i gotta wrap this FISH.
How has it taken so long to find a solution to gifting all items on mogstation? A friend's birthday is coming up and I wanted to give him a Ruby Carbuncle mount. I will just give him money via Paypal to buy it but the fact they never found a solution to gifting mounts is rather odd.
They were never looking for a solution. And the question is if there even is a solution to people falling for scam links and payment processors having to deal with bunch of chargebacks. How has it taken so long to find a solution to gifting all items on mogstation?
