Can Disk Owners Access Digital Download?

Hello, I recently built a new PC, so i saved my FF14 install folder on a separate drive so i didn't have to re-install it. New computer works great, all my steam games work (no driver/directx issues) but final fantasy crashes every time i select my character.

Because FF14 is the only disk i had used in 7 months, I didn't buy a new DVD drive. Mine is IDE so i cant actually use it in my new PC to re-install the game. So i was wondering if, either, someone knows whats up with my install, or if disk owners can access the digital download, because i don't want to buy a SATA optical drive to use once.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks for reading.

Disregard this thread, EU cant access the digital download anyway. I'm going to pirate an iso and use my LEGITIMATELY purchased CD key to install it. Thanks Square for making it so easy for me to play a game I'm paying you money for.

This is something I had not thought about as I'm nearing the rebuild process myself.

I needs to make an iso of my own disc for mad backups.

If you got another PC you can network the dvd drive from there, that's how I had to install on mine since my DVD drive broke and wifes was still working.

But having option to be able to download a copy since we already bought the game would be nice just in case my installation DVD gets bad + have the download with most recent update/patches on would help speed up the installation without the need to wait more on updates on initial start up.
