Thread: 2.0 reset

I'm wondering if they plan to reset the levels once 2.0 launches. As much as it would kind of suck to start over, the leveling process is something i really enjoyed in ffxi. Now everyone is 50, but i strictly didn't level a bunch of stuff just so i could level in 2.0 once thigns are fixed. I want it all slowed down. Most people took advantage of the power levels and went strait to 50 with everything. Which means the rest of us have no one to level with. As much as I love my accomplishments in xiv thus far, I'm seriously considering rerolling for 2.0.

I've been away for a bit and haven't been reading much, so I'm not sure what's been said about this. Anyone else have thoughts?

They are not going to reset anyone levels but they did say they be worlds that would be reset to 1 so everyone can start a new together.

How are they not resetting levels but resetting worlds so everyone can start together? I don't really follow.

They be worlds that you can join that only chars that are new can join so people current chars are not allow to enter the new worlds that are meant for people who want to play a world that people are not 2years over them.

I think a new world will be the way to go for me then. Sad to say it, but I really want to experience the whole thing. Hopefully enough people feel that way that I'm not alone on the empty server.

That might be the way to go for those, like you, who have a relatively low amount of time into levels and/or the game in general. Those of us that have spent a lot of their time into a game that wasn't good, just to get their jobs leveled think a bit differently. It would be a game killer to destroy all the time that someone put into the game, just to satisfy someone twisted views of fairness. Also, their is no taking advantage of powerleveling. Some people want to enjoy leveling, while others wan't a quicker way through it, it is preference, and up to people and their friends to decide whether or not to do it.

But, with that, I hope you enjoy the reroll, it should be quite the experience.
