I'm not seeing the hatred in his post. I see someone that's asking a legitimate question he doesn't know the answer to and being attacked because he showed weakness by asking a question. Bullying.
Hell, I have no idea why we use weapons to change classes myself.

Nah, its kinda hateful (and hard to understand). He says SE tricked us, he says this isn't a "real final fantasy" and actually the only question he asks in the OP is: 'Who in their right mind would take out classes'.

You know there is a Final Fantasy where you can turn into cyborgs and robots as a class right? When it comes to "Final Fantasy" : anything goes!This is something that has been giving me an itch for a few days now. I just realized we were ticked into playing FFXIV (starting beta and launch days) presumably thinking, that this game is just like the other Final Fantasy's. Lets look at the root of the problem; the Armoury System. Who in their right mind would take out classes. Really, I understand the first producer had his ambitions and desires, BUT Final Fantasy has always had Classic, distinct, Final Fantasy classes. I don't mind, too bad, renaming them but making the idea of the Armoury System apart of a Final Fantasy game is heresy to Final Fantasy name! Our weapons is not the source of our power! The classes come form our past experiences, in turn, these classes are either taught, learned or passed down through linage. Not by equipping a weapon and so be it...

Every FF had a unique progression system in some shape or form, and the armory system was supposed to encourage you to create an identity for yourself, be it a combination skills akin to those of a classical class or something else of your own choosing. Just because something is "not a real final fantasy" to you, doesn't mean that's true for everyone, since obviously the definition of what exactly constitutes a FF game is VERY flexible, considering.This is something that has been giving me an itch for a few days now. FFIII-> Crystals unlock job
FFIV -> Preset jobs but leveling unlocks abilities
FFV -> Crystals unlock job
FFVI -> Set jobs
FFVII -> Materia
FFVIII -> Draw/GF system
FFIX -> Set jobs
FFX -> Set jobs
FFXI -> Can change jobs 6 avalible at first 14 unlockable ones
FFXII -> Licence board or in the case of zodiack job's are selected and licences are gained from smaller boards

Yes some of them use same job system but others are unique every FF has things that make it different <3 Chocobos, Cactaurs, Summons, and job names make them similar
