Welcome to capitalism.They need to change this ASAP. Extorting consumers out of another $60 to buy a full game to play the exact same game just on a different platform is scummy.
Though it'd be nice to have access to all platforms under the single cost of the game/subscription, realistically it's not going to happen unless they make it completely free (aside from subscription costs).
You're effectively paying for a license to play the game on that platform. If SE was to provide a license for every platform under the same single game payment, it'd be a hell of a lot more than $60.
Same with pretty much all cross-platform games - just because you purchase it on one platform doesn't automatically mean you can get it for free on another.
