Changing the game's resolution settings once makes it unusable

I was changing some of the display options of the system configuration so that I could play with fullscreen on my laptop. When I changed to fullscreen, it seemed to have caused an error since I have 2 extended windows, but when I changed it back to windowed screen mode the game simply doesn't work like before. When I try to play the game at my screen's resolution (3072x1920) the game lags like CRAZY. I used to play at around 50-60 fps and now it's at 15 fps with unplayable lag. Now I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be much appreciated!

I think I see the issue here. My windows is automatically scaling windows by 200% to match my screen, and it seems it is not properly scaling the ffxiv window like it should. Does anyone else experience something similar?

ITS FIXED! Turns out all you need to do is go to the ffxiv_dx11 file, go to properties, go to compatibility, change high DPU settings and disable override high DPI scaling behaviour. Now the game runs as it should, finally!
