    Pet Glamours

Is anyone else having an issue trying to Glamour Eos into Selene (or any other pet)?

    I keep using the command

    /petglamour 'Eos' 'Selene'
    /petglamour "Eos" "Selene"
    /petglamour Eos Selene
    and even
    /petglamour [Eos] [Selene]

(I have also used /petglam and /egiglam with all the same variants)

For the ones with improper syntax I get an "'Eos' is not a valid pet name", and with the correct syntax I get something like 'the specifications for 'Eos' have not been defined' or something like that. This happens whether I have Eos currently summoned or not.

I've tried a macro and also typing directly into the chat window. When using '/petglamour' by itself, it shows I have the three old egis glamoured into ruby, emerald and topaz carbuncle respectively and Eos is Eos and Carbuncle is Carbuncle. What am I doing wrong? (Because honestly, I want to use some of the egis instead of the faerie but for now, I'd just like to have Selene out).

Did you do the quest to unlock it for SCH in the Arcanist's Guild?

I did the one for SMN back in the day. I assumed that would also unlock it for SCH. Is there really a new quest for it?

Ah, thank you both then. It's been ages since I messed with egi-glamours (I set them all to Carbuncles and never looked back) so I didn't even look for a new quest. Man, I was going crazy.

    Thanks again o/

Don't know if you got this worked out but there is a bug on the first glam for sch pet. This is how I fixed it on my account. When I put in the command /petglam "Eos" "Emerald Carbuncle" I got back the message there is no pet name ""Eos"". The system is adding extra quotation marks around the names for some reason. In order to make it stop adding the extra quotation marks and allow me to enter the command properly I had to enter the command /petglam eos carbuncle. This turned my Eos into a carbuncle and then I could enter the Command /petglam "Eos" "Emerald Carbuncle" and get my EOS into an Emerald Carbuncle. The reason for the step of changing Eos into Carbuncle is without the Quotation marks it will just display another error message as it will not know the glam has a 2 part name and it will just say the first part of the name is not a pet i.e. "Emerald" is not a pet name or "Ruby" is not a pet name. Since you are doing Selene you can probably just use the command /petglam Eos Selene with no issues and that will also fix the bug so you can change glam too.

    Does /petglam even work?

I have not had that particular problem but when entering things manually I quickly lose track of what was typed. I mostly use macros.

    /petglamour eos "emerald carbuncle"

    should work everytime.

Yeah when they got rid of Selene as a summon ability and it is now just Eos they made a new quest at the Arcanist guild. You summon your Eos and then she is like "Neat. I bet you could summon Eos as...a carbuncle if you wanted" and then you are taught how to glamour your Eos as many different things. I went back to glamouring Eos into Selene.

You can see the aliases for a command in that command's help:

    /? petglamour

You can even pull up a help file using the command's alias too if you're not sure what the formal command is, or use this to verify that the command is recognized at all:

    /? petglam

The help command will also work if you include the slash in the command you want to check:

    /? /petglamour

....which is useful when you want to look up the help file on an autotranslated command:

    /? (/petglamour)

And finally, autotranslated commands are executable and autotranslated arguments are valid, so you can use an entirely autotranslated /petglamour command if you want to ensure you and the game agree on spelling and punctuation:

    (/petglamour) (Eos) (Emerald Carbuncle)
(note there is a single space between each of these autotranslate phrases, and there are no quotation marks)
