Was waiting for this thread to pop up.
I'm honestly disappointed in the amount of in-game stuff happening for the anniversary. Like, go ahead and sell merch and have livestreams and all of that but like....I was expecting more to be given back to the actual community in the game....for free. LOL. Like, am I off base for thinking that?
I'm really hoping that they do something special with the Moogle event and the Rising, otherwise this is gonna put a bad taste in my mouth in terms of using something special like this as purely a means to funnel more money out of people and not a way to give back to the community that's giving them the success they are now.
Not surprised, but it really is a good chance to give a handful of tokens that can be exchanged for old event items. Guildwars does something similar that lets you pick from a selection of skins/trinkets/etc (including the real money ones). Was waiting for this thread to pop up.

It's been 10 years. I mean, yeah I'm happy I have my whatever, but there's really no reason to not give some away at this point. I don't think anyone would be upset if they said "here, we're gonna give you ~$25 in crysta to use in the MogStation!"
