This is a request (a really nice to have, not a must have) mainly for v2.0 that is not directly UI related, only indirectly.

As a MMORPG of course you get parties going battles. Typing comments while in a party and busy fighting is not exactly timely or easy, and text is easily missed by other players.

Players often use software like TeamSpeak, Ventrilo or Mumble to communicate using voice, which is far more convenient.

Since v2.0 will allow customized UI and maybe UI plug ins, I was wondering if the developers could add a method of accessing the current player position and heading via an external application?

All that is required is the current position and heading. Maybe provide a simple COM interface, or DLL that can be loaded, to get the player position information from the running client.

Why? Some chat applications used by parties, like Mumble (an open source chat application that allow custom plug ins), support positional audio. It can play the voice of the speaking player positioned relative to the listening player if they have a proper speaker set up.

This means when someone speaks, you can instantly determine where they are relative to you: to your right or left, forward or behind.

If somebody yells "Over here", or "Stand on this plate", or "Touch this lever", or "Focus on this target" then it will greatly help figuring out where to look.

Thank you for your consideration.
