Anonymous sales are bad. Seeing who buys and sells what for how much is a very useful tool to detect price fixing.

You can do the same thing with the name of the retainers, you can see wich RETAINER sells what for how much... why someone would need to know the name of the owner of such retainer? so you know to who be mean? bussines are bussines, dont need stalkers.
It basically means "something has been cut off/out"
It's nothing personal I'm just taken aback by how much new MMO players seem to dislike the whole Multiplayer part of the MMO genre.

Lets stop talkin about something that isnt even related to this topic.
And as side note... might surprise you but yes i agree with this last statement yours. So just so you know i love playin with other people, i hate the idea of beign a Lone Wolf, so dont judge me like that please.

i agree with the OP.
undercutting will always be at 100%, they should of left it where you didnt have a search history that way when stock runs out you can set your own price and undercutters wont beable to set prices in stone.I only wish they'd implement bidding again à la XI instead of showing the actual prices on stuff as this only seems to encourage some ridiculous, absolutely absurd undercutting. Because of that, trying to sell something is a freaking pain in the ass 90% of the time.
thats SE job they see all even the stuff we dont. its a free market you can charge what you want dont mean its gonna sell. undercutters fix the price no one is going to buy the higher price stuff.Anonymous sales are bad. Humm, online stalking!! Count me in!With the upcoming 2.0 and the promise of an Auction House.... i think this deserve to be mentioned and at least i havent seen anyone to mention.
What is it? well it is the way sales/purchases are anonimous.
In FFXI you had to deal with stuff like this...
1.- You set an item for 100 gil but then someone make a mistake and buy it for 100000 gil... then as seller you have a guy trackin you down to make you pay for a mistake that wasnt yours, Now this will be debatable from diferent points of view it be fair or not blah blah blah, this not the point of the matter, the trouble is you as hseller end with someone chasing you. On our current sistem this doesnt applies as you watch the actual price of an object, but with the upcoming introduction of an Auction House this might be again a concern.
2.- On FFXI you sell something of big interest and your name appears on the list as seller... ok this might be good, as people might try to contact you to buy things directly from you.... but it also has its bad side... there will be also people contact you who do alot of questions about it and dont even make a purchase from you, also what if for x-reason you want to sell something without no one to know about it?
Anyways the main point is, i love the way people know wich retainer is sellin what, but no one see your main character's name on it, and honestly i love it and i dont want it to change once they add auction house style, it would be neat if it happens to be like in XI... but with the diference the name(s) that appears on the sold/bought list be those of your retainers and not your main characters name.
Price fixers attacking price fixers. Oh mai!

I like the anonymity for my own self, but sometimes I wanna wring the neck of whatever idiot undercut a 40k item down to 10k in no seconds flat.
