Bard: Determination or Direct Hit

I have been getting a lot of mixed information about this trying to just look it up, so I am hoping someone can help.
I know that gear prioritizing Dex is something to look for, and Crit Hit is our number one materia stat, but when it comes to Determination and Direct Hit, I can not seem to find a source that gives clear information on which is currently more important, or what ratios you should aim for on overall balance.
Most sources (including Icy Veins) just pretty much lump them together, but in the list show Det above DH. I have had other people tell me that DH should be over Det.

Does anyone know what good builds are using as the current balance on this?

(This would be based on the current raid tier gear, not Savage. Sadly I do not have the time to get into savage content at present.)

In ShB, DH was better than Det but Det got buffed in EW and now Det is slightly better. In either case, that's most likely why people say one or the other. They're both about equal overall and you should look at stat tiering if you want to get in the weeds of how much of one to use vs the other. Whatever is BiS is really the only time you should truly care about how much of one you're putting on versus another. Otherwise just which ever you have on you at the time of melding is fine.

Even if you did savage, the choice would hardly get in the way of you clearing.

No probably about it. Unless you are doing Savage or working for world-first clears it doesn't matter much what materia you meld. Even if you do Savage it is no big deal. Just meld something.
The difference between the best meld and some random meld is likely no more than 1-2% damage.

Direct Crit Blast Arrows are more fun so meld DH

I pretty much meld crit, unless the piece doesn't let me, then it's det, or direct hit as the 3rd option if there's no room for det either.
